Our Statement of Faith

We believe in God, our Mother and Father, the Eternal Spirit, who made the heavens and the earth in goodness, and created each of us in the divine image and with a spirit of love.

We believe, as Jesus did, in the struggle for justice and peace, and our call to eliminate systemic injustice of all kinds, to create in our community and world a sense of true shalom.

We believe that God's divine Spirit guides us in how to live, and so we embrace our relationship with God and with one another, striving to erase the borders that separate us from the "other".

We believe that all people are loved equally by God, and that God’s love is reflected in our love for each other, especially through our care for the widowed, orphaned, stranger, imprisoned, and materially poor.

We believe in truly being the Church, forgiving often, embracing diversity, and sharing earthly & spiritual resources.

In so doing, we love God and find joy in this life.
